Providing Community Support during COVID-19

We want to say a huge thank you for all the many generous donations, some given anonymously, that have been given to Welshpool Community Angels.  We have been overwhelmed by people’s generosity at this vvery trying and worrying time.  We have received things as diverse as hand sanitiser, Easter eggs, potatoes and onions, plus monetary donations.  Each donation is being recorded and used in the most appropriate manner considering the circumstances; a directory is being produced and will be available soon.  Anything we cannot use or if we have a surplus and there is a need to share with partner organisations we will do so, that will recorded too.

The monies that have been received to date have used to support the Meals on Wheels service which is now operating five days a week instead of two and delivering around forty meals per day in comparison to fifteen before the lock down.

If at the end of the crisis, there are any goods or monies remaining, the goods will be passed to the most appropriate partner organisation and any remaining funds will be given to the League of Friends at Welshpool Hospital.
